Stop… collaborate and listen. Wise words from an incredibly terrible musician.
Oh hey guys and gals, it has been a minute since any posting has happened on our website, but I’m here to change that. Although we have appeared to be quite inactive in the past few months, there has been a large amount going on behind the scenes.
First, we’ve been practicing for our live shows. Whether it took place in Mr. Blake James’ basement or in the basement of a Halloween Shop (which, and Blake will confirm this, terrifies me to an extent when it’s pitch black) we’ve been working on our show to bring it to y’all.
That brings me to some exciting news (and given my inexperience, some moderately terrifying news), we are going to be hopping on an open mic night at the Walnut Room in Downtown Denver (map) on Wednesday, Sept. 28th. We know what you’re thinking, “Aren’t open mic nights usually acoustic shows?” You are correct sir or madam. But, we’ve actually done some work on acoustic versions of our songs and they sound crisp, clean, and downright sexy. The whole night kicks off at the Walnut Room at 8. So come on out and support local musics.
Besides trying to break me into the live music scene, we’ve actually been working on new songs. Blake’s producing style, and our lyrical style are already beginning to metamorphosis and it’s exciting to see all of us growing as musicians (yes, even baby DJ).
So that’s pretty much the extent of what is going on in The Bottom Line Land. I’m going to be doing a much better job about keeping updates going on our blog. Whether it’s about us, about the music world, or even just some random musings, I’m going to try and update at least once a week.
Love yo faces.
